Other computers with Win 7 are woking at the same ethernet cable. I think the problem is the LAN card. To check your internet speed , Go online and search for internet speed test you will find few websites which will check your internet speed and provide the accurate results. I tried the compatibilty mode for Win 8 and Win 7, I deinstalled the driver and tried every variation. The problem is not internet speed. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number.
I updated the driver but I was just able to find a driver for Win 8. Sorry this didn’t etherjet. Of course there is no compatibility setting there to change. Or do I have to downgrade back to Win 7?

The computer is connectet via Ethernet to a router which is working with Gigabit LAN, also with other computers in this network. Did you make any changes on the computer prior controllet this issue? I went looking for the ‘setup file’ for the driver and all I was able to locate was the driver itself which is in ‘C: You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.
Right click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties. Click OK and run the setup.
